2002 Volvo V70 T5 - Strut/Shock replacement

I am looking for recommendations on which brand is the best to replace the factory front struts and rear shocks. Any advice appreciated. I would like to stay close to the factory ride. Are there any land mines waiting for me when I do the swap that I should know about?
