There was a time we made cars like this. When I received my driver's license this is the car I wanted. My uncle still had one at the time. What a contrast from the Tesla! The 64 Tbird was 20 years old back then and still around. If I was healthier I would have bought this 64.

I saw in a car magazine recently that a new Tesla model will have a steering yoke instead on a steering wheel. The reviewer said he missed the top rim of the wheel when parking.
I think my Smart car has a slightly oval shaped steering wheel. Maybe to give more leg clearance? I notice the radius change when the wheel returns to center after a turn.

Okay, obviously nobody watched the video! Why would a car manufacturer make flatulence sounds programming as part of the car's software. This one was programmed to make them when turn signals are used and we are talking loudspeaker outside! Is toilet humor to be part of the future of the automobile????

Abscate, car's like the 64 Thunderbird were special! I doubt anyone has made a special stand alone model since the middle 60s. Thunderbird, Riviera, Tornado, and Eldorado were special car's in my opinion. Buick would put a plaque on the dashboard saying who the car was specifically built for...... At least none could make flatulence sounds   !

My aunt married to my T-bird uncle had a 66 Riviera Gran Sport with the high horsepower optional engine. It had the plaque with her name on it from Buick. By the late 70s it was traded off due to needing a valve job according to my uncle. He says the 2 carburetor setup was hard to keep tuned, causing burned valves due to Idi__ woman driver behind the wheel   !!! If it would roll, she was the type to drive it until it stopped and gauge what gauge??? Oh H means hot? E means empty? She was a bad alcoholic. As in driving with a Southern Comfort and Coke was normal. You would have to know them to understand, he called her Woman as a endearing term :o ! June

A day without June is a day without sunshine.

I was lumping my hate on the Tesla, of course. I was chuckling at the guy complains about it being a cloudy day in FL while I was out in 24F harvesting calipers in 30 minute stints between shaking from cold.

His complaining about Florida weather, paranoia of all animals, and detailed analysis of the car are his trademarks. Bill of Curious Carsand Autohause of Naples get some wonderful cars so i cannot resist watching his videos. When I walk outside I think the same thing as comes out of his mouth about the weather. When you perspire on Christmas walking from your front door to your car it's just as miserable as freezing in 30 minute stints ! June
