Urgent Service Passsenger Airbag Problem

Greetings-

Sorry in advanced as having Internet issues; tried searching but keep getting timed out. Searched previously but did not find my exact problem.

Have a 2010 V50 with 70K miles. Recently got an amber Passenger Airbag Urgent Service warning. No accidents or anything involving the airbag in past. Checked connections and wiring briefly (will look closer in daylight) and nothing seemed disconnected or loose. Was thinking of buying a scanner for codes...this might be a good excuse (any thoughts on that too would be welcome).
