I don't believe it!

First day of decent weather and the air con doesn't work!

Where should I start?
Many thanks.

doesn't work!
Can you explain that a little more fully? What doesn't work - fan, compressor? Is the system auto or manual?

Fan works
Lights on AC say it's on
Auto lights up
Recycle in auto position
Dial up a lower temp than outside and warm air comes in rather than cooled
Guessing that I've lost refridgerent some place

Suggest you take the car to Halfords or an AC specialist and have them check the gas in the system. This is usually free but if a refill is required then there is a charge.

Thank you for the update.

Yes, the weather has changed but we should be used to that in the UK.

Latest forecasts are that global warming is slowing down and won't be a problem until 2020. Your AC is ready!

How would you know if you had no leaks?
They're supposed to put dye in the system and wait until it leaks out.
Even if you had a massive leak it would still works for a few hours
An AC system is a closed system and is NOT supposed to be empty, so there is a reason for yours being empty and you will find out soon enough!
