Hello Crew,
I have a 98 V90 Left Hand Drive, with the remote that has two buttons oriented vertically. I cannot seem to get the LED on the passenger side dash to blink to indicate it has entered programming mode, so I cannot verify if the remote still works or not.
As I understand it I need to have all the doors closed, including trunk and tailgate, and turn the key from off to the "On" position and back again, 5 times within 10 seconds, then leave the key in the On position. EDIT--just re-read the instructions and it says to lock the doors before attempting, but still no luck! (https://www.ipdusa.com/products/19381/R ... 983-239099)
If I lock the car from the driver's door, the LED flashes indicating the security system is active, and the lights flash.
My Troubleshooting so far...I've jumpered the hood closed switch thinking that might be sensing "open", but no change. All the fuses seem to be good, everything works in the car except this function. The doors all trigger the interior lights properly. I looked up the wiring diagram and verified the ignition switch is getting 12V on the red w/black wire when in "On" position.
Two big questions:
Am I missing something on entering programming mode?
Where is the Control Module located for the Keyless Entry?
Thanks! Pictures below of what I'm looking at ha
Anyone know what the jack is for in the following image?
