Rensi molded floor mats any good?

I've never been a fan of carpeted floor mats. I'd like to get something better suited for winter, but I also hate generic rubber floor mats. The generics look great in the store and are typically designed to be trimmed, but in reality fit nothing. I see Rensi has mats for the 850. Anyone here use them?

To expand this, can anyone recommend any good all weather mats and trunk liners for 850 and S/V/C70? I'd love to buy original Volvo mats but they appear discontinued. They're not easy to search for on eBay either. Thanks.

The Volvo trunk liners get beat up as they are a bit of a bad design. I have a few I have found in PnP. I always take them if there as like you say they are hard to find.

I also have several sets of Volvo carpet floor mats as well as their rubber floor mats in various colors in my stash. Problem is shipping cost to US and finding a way to minimise the size of the trunk mat to make it ship-able.

I'll see if I have pictures and post them here later.

My 2001 V70 came with Rensi front mats when I purchased about 10 years ago. In 50K miles they are still good.

For our P2 06 XC70 it came with Volvo rubber floor mats/trays. Pretty much a staple up heat with the winters, as are heater blocks.

A rough estimate on Canada Post suggests a set of rubber mats would cost $80 to get cross country to me. Thanks for considering making them available, but I'd better give a more concerted look around junkyards here first.

Maybe those Rensi mats will be a better buy. Thanks 454cid for mentioning they exist and volvolugnut for saying they're solid.

If I can get somewhere to have stuff delivered to Niagara region then I could look into this further on costing. Obviously the more I can send in one shipment the cheaper it works out but the mats are heavy!

I purchased a set Rensi from one of the MVS sponsors for the 03 S80 T6. It was shipped rolled up and did not unfold well and held it's shape. The mats also did not fit the shape of the foot well especially the rears so returned them. Was told it happens from time to time. The material is plasticky so slippery. I had Volvo's in the 98 S70 T5 and they not only fit well but are by far aesthetically the best regardless of brand. Has a rubbery feel so not as or none slip.

Back to the original question.

I bought a set of Rensi rubber floor mats years ago for my 98' V70XC, which is the same as for an 850.
The fit was terrible, they looked like they were a size too small. To make matters worse, they had nothing to hold them in place and they were sliding around. I think I used them for one winter season and finally threw them out.
