Steering Rack Rebuilders

Post by iPaulD »

Hey ya'll, I've got a 95 940 wagon with a slow leak filling my steering rack dust boots (big surprise, I know) and I was wondering if anyone has good recommendations for a place, ideally in the states, that rebuilds steering racks. I could always go buy a remanned one yeah, but I like the idea of keeping the same rack if I can help it.

I do know of a place called Indianapolis Rack & Axle which I hear does good work, but I figured I'd ask around for more suggestions!

Thanks. : )

Don't have a suggestion for the actual ask, but over on the P80 forum there is a very large and vocal consensus for avoiding Cardone at all costs. Ask how I know.
