That first looked like a snake skin. But then I hate finding snakes.

I was saved by a lizard. After doing some yard work this lizard ran pass me and was going to enter the garage because of the gaps at both ends from the uneven concrete. It stopped short of going in? I opened the garage door and it still didn't move. Upon moving closer I see the snake in the garage had gone under the gap and bit the lizard so it just froze there. I picked up a shovel then decided with the oval head if I miss it's going to be in the garage for sometime. Switched to a hoe and got it on my first try. The little lizard got away safely.

Well tomorrow should be the day that the key will be turned, and the engine will come back to life. If the Volvo Gods are smiling.
Just need to button up a few things. But I'm missing a picture of how this wire loom fit relative to the top engine mount frame. I looked in Haynes and couldn't find a pic. The online videos for replacing the mount don't seem to show it either. Anyone have a picture or diagram that shows it ?

Thst top clip goes down near the starter and clips the cam and crank sensor wires cleanly away from the starter body.

The larger metal thing bolts to the rear of the engine, the shiny metal frame holds the cam sensor connector.

I know that it doesn't go down near the starter. It was bagged up with that engine mount bracket. The two did work together somehow.
I get how that bracket etc bolts up, but it's that little wire holder that I can't remember the placement of. It also held one or more of my vacuum lines running from the turbo.

When I was young in Taiwan we used to get worms through the faucet. This was especially shocking when washing rice with contrast and all. Water supply would get turbulent during storms. Worms are especially squeamish for me . Ants also as I was attacked and my leg was bitten all over and the swelling took sometime to subside. Both of those still make me jump but snakes has gotten better but I won't put anymore up. I do make a point to wear rain boots when I am working in the yard however. Even taking out the trash.

Washed it, for the first time! ...well took it through a newly built automatic carwash near my house, actually. I wanted to get the salt off of it.

Then when I got home, I decided I wanted to get the outside temperature in Fahrenheit, and accidentally discovered how to set the clock too. I had to Google the C>F change and Google knew that Robert would know!

Oh, the backlight on the LCD display had been out. However, a few days ago, it suddenly started working, while on my drive home from work. I guess it's a connection someplace.

Bit the bullet and spent 300 for new iridium plugs (mine have about 43k miles on them) and a new cap and rotor to solve an occasional rough idle and rich smell out the exhaust (fingers crossed although it probably wont affect it much.

Picked up some touchup paint for the spring.

If the old cap and rotor are good, which is highly unlikely then ill keep them for a rainy day.

Depending on the condition of the old spark plugs i might throw them at the 99 t5 project car whenever i get to it (just been 3 years )

Thanks abscate for the offer earlier but logistically its a bit of a mess with my schedule. Will post the results of this on the weekend.
