98 V70xc Starts then immediately dies

It is unusual for all the coils to fail at the same time. These engines will run on 4 ok if you disconnect one and the injector feed to that cylinder.

I would strongly recommend you talk to Xemodex and their help line guys.

But, based on whet you say, I would suggest your original issue was the classic ETM failing. First becoming intermittent and then going into limp mode. If that was the only issue then I would have expected the rebuilt unit to fix the issue.

I would strongly suggest you go back through everything you removed and worst case remove it all again and check you did not forget to connect something or something was not re-fitted correctly.

The old saying, if the problem was not there before you started you had to have introduced it.

None of use is perfect! (don't ask who just had to re-do his front brake as he re-fitted the bad caliper bracket!).
