rpm sensor nightmare 05 xc90 b5254t2

so im trying to get this engine swap running, came into it with the new motor already installed from a previous tech.
ive got a new starter a new rpm sensor (crank position sensor) and new rpm sensor bracket. right now im trying to figure out if i am supposed to be getting 2.5 v to both sides of plug sensor and ive got continuity to each lead back to the ecm and no continuity to any other leads(rule out a short somewhere) im lost at the moment help!!!
