fob programming

apparently if you get a car for 500 dollars it comes free with a couple issues and inconveniences (who knew), and i want to program a key fob to the shitmobile. wondering what fob i would need since there are 2 different ones i've seen for the car. I read about the alarm relay being an indicator of which one to use, but nothing was really crystal clear. My alarm relay is gray with a small green plug on top. which fob would i need to buy?

Try calling the guys in Valentine Volvo parts they may be able to guide you which part number of fob you need. Speak to Mike, Mark or the supervisor Oscar. They are all great guys and know their stuff. They will need your cars Vin#

also just to be clear, every 850 in canada has the ability to be programmed to a fob?

I believe so, but as the options list was huge it is sometimes hard to know if all were. The Volvo parts guys should be able to help identify if your car came with that option as well.
