It's NA, could only be a turbo manual if it was swapped. I'm sure it will go quickly, it's a nice looking car!

What’s so desirable about the 1998? It’s almost as good as a 1999!

Hope he finds his fish at $3900. In this market, very possible.

Nice price anchoring technique….”new , these were $27,000”

This seems to be the common reasoning, but I think the ETM thing is blown out of proportion. Replace it once, be done.

The 2014 contactless one available in eBay for $150 has been the elixir from the Swedish Gods

While the - 1998s are cleaning their IACs and throttle linkages, we motor around smoothly on ME7

So let's see ...

- clean the IAC once ($5); or replace the ETM once ($150)
- flash the ECU (M4.4) whenever needed for O2 sensors, SAS, tune if you're ambitious, etc; or just be happy with the ME7 the car was dealt
- for troubleshooting the engine everything swaps with 850s; or you try to figure out what you actually have then scour the junkyards for 99-00 parts

... kind of an easy choice :P

One thing to note here; 850s are incredibly scarce in junkyards these days. P80s in general are, however I tend to find '99-'00 cars the most. P2s are seemingly endless, particularly S60s and XC90s.

As far as tuning, Hilton is good. Sure, we don't have the ease of tuning ourselves that you get with M4.4 (yet), however that's not a big deal for the average P80 owner. I'm sure someone will figure it out eventually, but honestly I wouldn't even know where to begin.

This has to be one of the greatest cases of dreamer owner trying to sell a car for an inflated price for a piece of junk.

Now I like the 960 as a vehicle but this one? The inside looks like a dumpster, it is not road worthy , been off the road for over 2 years and the owner states you should put it on a trailer to remove it as not safe to drive. The car also has a bent hood which looks like the hood hinges have seized and one of he front sidelights is broken.

This is a sub-$1000 car at best and that is Canadian $ not US ($70US) is still too much.

Oh, and this is not the first time they have tried to sell this piece of junk.

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/cal ... 1609656997

If you paid $3500 CDN for this and then put in around $2000 at least to bring it to a half decent state, here due to the age you have to then put it through an insurance safety test (around $200 more). And that assumes there are no other major issues like a head gasket which is not uncommon on this engine.
