2008 Volvo C30 Key Fob issues

Basically, after replacing my dome/map lights in my 2008 Volvo C30, all of my key fob functions (besides starting the car) stopped working. I've bought a key fob tester and confirmed that my fob is still outputting signal. I've looked up near the map light and see a circuit board but nothing clearly wrong with it, and no way to easily remove it. The one lead I've found online is leaving the battery unplugged overnight with the key in the run position. I've done this just now and I'm leaving it to sit for a while until I plug the battery back in. I'm just making this post here in hopes anyone might have other ideas if this doesn't work.
