Look very carefully at the white plastic top of the pump. These can crack at the hose fitting and seep gas onto the top.

THE Latest...the fuel pump did need to be replaced, the two outer circular plastic parts that fit together were not and the weight of the pump was pulling the two sections apart. I had previously replaced just the pump, but did not realize there were small clips that keep the two circular sections together (dah!). Picked up a used one that looked fairly new and installed that. The hardest part was getting the large black circular cap off (this part is most visible when the metal cover to the fuel pump is removed from inside the wagon) and then making sure the threads did not get crossed when putting the cap back on. Had to use a large flat head screwdriver and a small sledge hammer to secure the cap so the fuel pump assembly stayed in place (and prevent fuel seepage)!
Then, I spliced in a newer harness to the rear O2 sensor. That seemed to take care of code 141. Thank goodness!!
But, then...about 70 miles into my drive north from Syracuse and stopping for a Starbucks coffee, the CEL came back on
Code 133 appeared as pending and eventually made its way into the "freeze frame" on my code reader. I cleared it, but the same code came back as I neared my final destination. I had previously replaced the fuel pressure damper that is situated on the fuel rail, and cleaned the connection between the harness to the front O2 sensor and its mate below the brake fluid reservoir.
I will take a look at the harness for this sensor to see if it needs to be replaced. Otherwise, I am not sure what else I could do, short of replacing the O2 sensor. Any other thoughts, suggestions, remedies would be deeply appreciated!

P0133 is the front sensor problem. Start working the heat magic on that one
