Sounds like a candidate for a reboot. Disconnect the battery, fully charge it, then reconnect with key in position II

Great that you posted you symptoms and the resolution, this will really help. If you have any photos, please post.

There are a couple threads around that note some door wire compromises, the failure is pretty much always the driver's side door (unless vehicle is heavily used as taxi, even kid taxi) and it's caused by repetitive flex right at the crimp interface in the connector body in the door itself. Poor design but it is what it is. Good to pull the boot and check upon occasion, yours is a 2005 but time will catch up with the rest of the model years.

Resolution is normally a removal of the pin/socket itself and a new pin re-crimp or a new pin re-crimp and a short insulated extension. Pretty common problem over time and rear turn signals are sometimes affected as well (they tie to the mirror signals at a point).

For sure any description of photos of the issue and the repair would be greatly appreciated for folks to reference.

No need for pics. There’s a lot of pics floating the internet for the door wiring issue.

Congrats on fixing the issue and appreciate the update!
