Re: PCV R&R - Losing the battle to the dreaded hidden Intake bolt
It’s very much in line with the Pcv banjo bolt. Volvo says to displace the ps pump and remove the alternator. Once this is done, accessing the Pcv banjo is a breeze. An extra 30 minutes of work x2 saves cross threading, dropped washers, and hours of swearing.

Exactly. At my age (29.. lol) I have no patience for it anymore. Take the extra time. While you're draining the coolant why not decompress, take a break, and have a beer.
Also of note for anyone reading these posts: 12mm x 16mm copper washers are standard and should be available at any of your local auto part suppliers. 2x of these are used on the intake manifold and 2x are used on the PCV (coolant?) line connection at the block on the right. Grab 6 to be safe because you WILL drop them and be upset.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.
