UH oh, now I'm on the spot! What a show you went to! - some of these actual cars show up on image searches, which means they're well-known cars.

The first Ferrari I was thinking was an early Boano-bodied 250 coupe, but they have rear fins, this is way more rounded. But there's a Pininfarina badge on the front flank, so it's even earlier, 1954-55-ish. Here's what looks like that exact car...."250 GT Europa Coupe."

Who ARE these people on this tour??

In the street is the very special and rare Subaru Crosstrek in original factory silver!

Red Ferrari #459 looks a bit like the Boano coupes, but I think it may be this car, a '56 250GT Pininfarina prototype, to replace the Europa coupe (!) That would make it unbelievably rare. This article says there may have been NINE of these.
https://www.supercars.net/blog/1956-fer ... prototipo/

Next to that is the red Jaguar XK-140. Has a narrower grille than the 150.

A very rare "big grey pickup" across the street....

The grey one (88) is an Alfa Romeo "1900 C SS Zagato" from 1955, with an asymmetrical hood scoop (I assume over the carbs). I had to look all this up.

Next pic - grey Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale (SS) from early 60s. Small, slippery, lightweight. Next to it is a tan Alfa GTV from '72-'74. 2-liter. Designed by Giugiaro at his first job at Bertone - he was in his 20s. Went on to design the Miura and many other beauties.

WUT is that cool grey 30s(?) aero 4 door thing? Not rear-engined, no vents. Euro plates, not an American car. Don't know the logo on the trunk, can't read the name on the hubcap.... --LER? ADLER?

Oh, here it is! ADLER Type 10, from Frankfurt, 1938! Never even heard of it! (Weird that only a year later they invaded Poland)

Then a badass Mustang 350GT "Hertz". Hertz and Ford made a deal to rent 350GT's to the public in this special black and gold, and many showed up Monday morning with roll bar holes in the floor. Damage deposit?? I love these.

<EDIT>...those Mustangs are GT350s, I had it backwards.

That guy built that car by hand from a Giulia 1300 sedan (single headlights). He was a NASA engineer who designed a piece of the Mars rover, and a car nut. He then worked for Singer Porsche in design and fabrication, then started his own SoCal shop which works on Porsches and Alfas. That car was featured in a Petrolicious video, which is where I learned about it.

https://dorianvalenzuela.wordpress.com/ ... ed/page/3/

https://www.dvmechanics.com

The Giulia sedan came out in 1962. Italian version of the BMW 2002, but way earlier. In fact, Alfa was building "sport sedans" in the 50s ("the family sedan that wins races!"). These Giulias were Police cars, (See the original Italian Job movie), highway patrol cars, taxis, family cars, and race cars. One of them set the closed course record for under 2 liters at Talladega Speedway. They're surprisingly aerodynamic - the rounded front fenders, concave cuts down the sides, narrow greenhouse, very rounded windshield, and the then new idea of a Kammback roof and trunk lid, which cuts down on drag. More slippery than the Spider or Coupe, but with the same chassis and engines.

BB, you are a gem. You know all the cool Euro cars. And the back story.
The Adler also may have borrowed rear styling from the 1937 Ford Sedan.

Those are some big hitters you're hanging out with!

https://cs1000.gorallying.com/rally/cde ... 5aa7c/cars

We did pretty good on the guessing based on these tour pics.

Red Ferrari was wrong - it's a Boano body, not the later Pininfarina...BZZZZZZT!
A Dino! My favorite!
The Allard is a "J2X"....didn't know that.
"Shelby GT350-H" ...and there were two??
You missed the Ford Falcon rally car!
1938 Adler, we found it!
Blue coupe is an Aston Martin DB2, 1956, I wouldn't have gotten that.
The Hollywood sedan is actually the original Cord 810, 1936, wow!
Lucky guess on the Cunningham roadster! I just know they're white with blue stripes!
'67 Corvette and Ferrari Daytona were not at the street show, too bad.

Quite a route through the desert in mostly non-air conditioned cars and VW buses.

OH.....I completely forgot about the unloved Berlina sedan. A bigger version of the Giulia sedan (I think it uses the same door structures to save costs) from about '69 to '74 (?). Not beautiful, and long neglected, but they drive well and suddenly the survivors values are climbing.

I love Alfettas. There's a fastback and the sedan. They had fantastic handling with a rear 5 speed transaxle and trick deDion independent rear suspension with inboard disc brakes.

But....they rusted, badly.

Funny you should mention that sweet V6 (which makes amazing noises). They had limited R&D funds (this is why they never redesigned the Spider after it was essentially done in 1974), so they took the Alfetta sedan chassis, including the doors and roof, and revised it to make the new Milano sedan with that fantastic Busso-designed V6. Quirky looking car, but it went like stink, did well on the track, and sounded glorious. Sort of Jetta-sized at the time. A few clever people have retrofitted the V6 back into an Alfetta, but it's not a simple swap as I understand it.

(Also - if you say "Alpha" instead of "Alfa," they won't let you join the cult or learn the secret handshake!)
