Hi.
I am in the market for a new (used) car. Prices are high all around, but I'm weighing my options. I've always liked Volvos because they seem to hold up against rust here in new england much better than Japanese cars. I'm considering getting an XC90 to replace my 2004 XC70, but not sure what years are best. I'm looking towards around 2012 or 2013. I like that fact that I have 7 passenger capability if I need it with the XC90, but also would consider an xc60 if it makes sense. It seems like XC90s are available relatively cheaply (maybe they can be expensive to maintain). I do my own maintenance and don't really mind doing some repairs if I have to.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
Feld

Not directly helpful perhaps, but something to think about: the SPA Volvos. Despite all the predictions of Doom and Gloom regarding the complex inline-4 E-drive, I've read almost nothing about problems with those powerplants. I've read a bit about interior bits like vent controls rattling/breaking, but I haven't run across larger problems in my Web perusals of these Volvos. Just my 2¢.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!
