Is that a Rover 220? I've never even heard of that. Pics show a shape similar to an old Accord coupe. FWD.

Sort of reminds me - on our limited trips to DC, there are quite a few interesting cars that were never approved in the US, with diplomatic plates. Embassy staff can bring in all kinds of stuff for their use, official or unofficial, but it has to go with them when they leave.

Interesting. I had a 1978 Porsche 924 Euro spec that was considered "grey market", but was still legal here back then.

It was imported here by a guy in the service after he returned to Colorado. This was in the late 80s.

My high school girlfriend in Virginia has photos of it from a visit here back then, but I can't seem to get her to go through her piles of photos from back then to find it.

BTW, that 924 interior was perfect. Absolutely wonderful in design and condition. That car was a joy. Not fast, but very fun and purposeful.

"Welcome to Episode 347 of our story, in which Dad reinstalls his fuel tank, pisses off his 356 friend by working in a P-car shirt, and discovers that reading glasses make half decent safety glasses (unless there are flying chunks or dust)."
