Nice trip Abscate and great sky pics. I believe the two rusty red sandstone with black snake waterways are Lake Powell (which is historically low right now), Glenn Canyon Dam, and Page AZ. Also the "goosenecks of the San Juan River."

If your Dad flew P39s, he must have been a very skillful aviator; not everybody survived their time in that beast. Combat was usually the least of their worries.
Glad you Excellent Adventure with your mom worked out.

He didn’t fly P39s, but the sea vixen version of that cool swept wing de Haviland killed his fellow friend in 1952, almost killed him too.

It’s incredible being only 75 steps from Mom, the peace of mind.

Often have tea with her in the morning.. she is determined to strengthen her legs so she can walk the click to the waterfront this summer.

My wife’s mom is a half block away. I think she’s 87 now. She drives to bridge and knows more people that we do!

A week before I flew back with her she drove to her doctor on I5 in Laguna…in her stick shift Golf !
