Hello:
I bought a 97' 960 sedan in July of 2004 that had 86,000 miles on it. For the most part, I really enjoy the car (it had been well maintainedl) .
Although, the check engine light came on when I first bought it and as a courtesy, the dealer ran a OBD and said that it was improperly coded.
So, he reset the code and told me that if it happens again, to bring it back.
Well , two weeks to the day he reset it, it came back on . I took the car back to him and he said it might need a sensor but wasn't sure .
Also, from time to time, the flashing arrow appears butappaently it reset itself because after a day or so, it no longer appears .
Does anyone have an ideal what the is problem is and what I can expect to pay for repairs.
Many thanks for the advice
check engine light; flashing arrow Topic is solved
Find out the code before it's reset, could be something simple. The flashing arrow is a sign of possible PNP switch loosing contact, happens from years of never moving the gear selecter past "D" to L it happend to me on cold days. Let us know
