Replaced the brake switch which stopped the leak. At the same time, one of the motor mounts when out causing a clack clack clack sound periodically. Checked and i dont have an engine peephole nor does it always occur so i dont think its knock. Dont know if i want the pleasure of replacing the mounts or to let me indy do it when he does the axel.

If you are doing the axle soon then you can leave it to the mechanic, assuming the mount is the crank pulley one as the axle is already bad. If it is the passenger side one and the RH axle is good then do it ASAP as it will damage that one!

There is a flap on the RHS, but you have to pull the RHF wheel and undo a small 15mm plastic nut and then the inner fender folds back so you can see the mount.

The right hand axel is bad. My mechanic has a bunch of the centre cushion mounts spare and i can ask him to order the one under the pulleys to replace that one as well. I heard its best to hit as many of the mounts as once as they all tend to wear fairly evenly. I can pull a spare transmission mount from my crashed car on monday.

The sound is not as bad today leading me to think it was due to the high temperatures causing the rubber to expand or contract. There is noticeably more engine vibrations recently.

Cleaned my rims, and then tried cleaning the remainder of the bad 02 soot from the rear of the car. Neither came completely clean.

The wheels obviously need more work. I used Chemical Guys Diablo Spray wheel cleaner....expensive stuff. It did not get everything, even with two applications scrubbed with a dollar store brush. Any recommendations?

^ Oven cleaner ? I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard of it being used for wheels.

Lemme guess, heavy deposits? Try some scotch brite pads. I usually get them at Home Depot, they have a couple different types. A more mild one will be easier on the finish and avoid deep scratches.

I don't recall which rims I have, but maybe I should have mentioned they're painted? Scotchbrite would surely scratch the finish. I was leery of using the scrub sponge as it had a Scotchbrite-like side to it, but doesn't have the grit that Scotchbrite has.

Maybe I'll try it on the backside of one of the rims. It might etch the paint.

Ah yeah, that could be a problem for the paint.

It will certainly etch anything with Aluminum in it , so without knowing your wheel alloy, I would proceed with caution.
