My clutch on my 2004 S60 cycles on & off every 20-30 seconds. Can't seem to get 134r into it. Checked my gap was at .635mm. Way over. I'm going to try zip ties tomorrow.

I learned about this fix after having the refrigerant replaced in my 2002 Volvo S60 and the error that the compressor only cycled for a few times remained.

The P2 platform unfortunately has very little space to access the compressor and it seems like clutch is made a little bit different. One way or another, I couldn't even get in a zip tie behind the flower-shaped sping.

So I cut up a metal stap which had the right thickness and bent a small L-bracket out of it to slide behind the spring. That bracket then got bent up so it won't fall out and the gap was pretty much perfect at around 0.4mm.
In total I added three of the brackets and the gap was very consistent, so I didn't bother putting another three in.

Maybe that helps someone who struggles with zip ties when the gap isn't big enough :)

Nice! That should work well for you. Thankfully I was able to stuff a few zip ties in mine a few weeks ago, though I cracked the screen on my phone in the process ): (it fell out of my hand and landed on a tiiiiny rock)
