I saw a recent post about installing part 1366780, an oil cooler line cap. Sounds like RobertDIY recommends it. What is the problem which necessitates this and what changes with it installed?
The diagram suggests it's under the crank pulley and the fitment guide says it fits the 2000 V70. My oil cooler is on the back of the engine, directly connected to the oil sump and has rubber coolant lines attached to it. Is this part for the up-to-1998 engines?

It's not applicable to your RN engine.
Some folks remove the oil cooler lines from the N turbo motors, as they can be problematic and leak prone. That part mentioned is the block-off plate.

Noteworthy that the 1999 NAs didn’t get the biscuit oil cooler. At least not my early engine number models. Then magically,in 2000, they appear. More info for the bastards thread.
