I've seen pics of really sturdy wooden cribs to put 12 or 18" under the tires. They had lips so the tires can't roll.

A friend lent me two 3-legged, tall jack stands with a round rubber top plate about 4" diameter. I raised the car a bit and put the rear jack points on those. Then I could detach the axle and use the yellow stands to rest it on while I adjust the floor jack.

I also put the wheels with tires under there! They're skinny, I had to stack them two high!

Quick question, should I be overly concerned by which viper fluid to be using? up until this point, I've just been using water but since my friend said it's better to be using a specific washer fluid I thought I might give it a go. I have no clue about what ones do what, I can tell you that it's fairly cold where I live and it rains and snows year-round so something that may help defrost the windshield maybe? if there's such a thing because that's always a pain.

I stay away from viper fluid. Don't like snakes.

It's a good idea to use it year round - won't freeze, has some detergent bug cleaning ability. I just get pre-mixed auto parts store or Ace Hardware. It's pretty cheap.

Design Trivia:

The same guy (Giugiaro) designed the burgundy Alfa 4 posts up in the early 60s as a young punk working at Bertone, as well as the Alfetta in this post in the mid-70s at his firm ItalDesign.

That guy designed sooo many cars. I love that front end. Quad headlights make it look great.

This one could've used a little more design help, or at least a sharper pencil.

^ Now that is a weird one ! Doesn't look quite right. Might as well made a cab over camper at that point.
