radiator compatability across trims/models, 1994 940 turbo

Post by skittlejr »

I have been researching a new radiator (mine has a crack in the plastic tank at the upper hose port). Question: Is there a difference in the radiators from the turbo to non turbo models. Many sites are listing the application for a specific radiator as one or the other, but the pictures look exactly the same. Is there a subtle difference between the the turbo and naturally apsirated models' radiators? thanks

The pictures do look the same but VADIS confirms the radiators are different, not only between turbo and non-turbo but between auto box and manual.

Volvo part numbers:

Turbo Auto 8602564; Non-turbo Auto 8602563; Turbo Manual 8603852; Non-turbo Manual 8603854.

To further complicate matters the Regina has a different part number and cars without AC - yes there are some about - are different.
