Car insurance rates going up

Post by gnalan »

My car insurance renewal for six months is now $100 higher than what it's been. Nothing has changed on the policy, and no accidents. Has anyone else noticed an increase with their car insurance policy?

Liability on my 2001 S60 is $575 for 6 months now. The last 6 months was $474. Same company, same policy, same coverage, same everything. Inflation is making everything go up except the amount of money coming in each month.

That’s a grab. Insurance payouts won’t be inflation driven and overhead costs are 10% ish for a well run company

My renewal this March for Jacksonville, Florida full coverage for six months would have been $3,700 from $1,200. Luckily I had moved to Arkansas! So my renewal became $500 for six months with better coverage! Now that I added the 740 to my existing S80 coverage my bill for the remaining three months netted $1 increase. June

$3700 for 6 months? That's crazy!

Why have full coverage on an old vehicle? I've never understood that.

Because of the service loaners provided by Volvo requires full coverage. June

When my Volvo needs repair, my Volvo dealer provides a new Volvo service loaner for me to drive. This last time I had their loaner for 6 1/2 months. While in my care my insurance covers it. I had a 2021 XC60T6 nicely equipped for 4 months, than a 2022 XC60B5. Neither had a sticker price below $50K. Therefore good full coverage is a must. June
