80 countries in the world suffer from water shortage. 844 million people do not have access to drinking water service. More than a quarter of the world's population, 2.1 billion people, do not have access to clean water. 4 Billion people experience severe water scarcity for at least one month a year. In short, the picture is not good at all and it is not going well.
What are your thoughts on this subject? What should we do individually? How can we help countries that are struggling with this?
Or will we continue to wash our cars and lawns with plenty of water?
We could empty an estimated 50% of the worlds hospital beds if all the people in the world had access to clean drinking water. Then again Europe got around the problem centuries ago with Beer. Boiling the water to make the Mash disinfected the water. The way I see it is, water not the problem. Energy to convert contaminated water to potable water is the problem.
