You are correct Matt, it is a 1960 Galaxie Sunliner (convertible). I bought a 1961 Galaxie Starliner back in 1984. Looked at a lot of full size Ford products back then trying to find a 1964 Thunderbird. June

Car at Red Rocks - first guess is Pontiac. Second guess is Oldsmobile. The hood and rear fender trim is the key to identification.

1939 DeSoto 4 door sedan? That's a tough one. A lot of the late 30s early 40s 4 door models look the same. I wish I could see the frontend better.

Because it's Greek to you? :o

I thought it was some odd version of a Pontiac Fiero. :?
It was an inexpensive mid-engine sportscar based on the 1100 sedan drivetrain moved to the back. They were the very little brother to the Lancia Stratos rally cars and were raced quite a bit, being so nimble.

I had a classmate who built one with a bigger motor, lowered, dark grey, no bumpers, Ansa exhaust, Recaro seats, and these sweet Cromodora wheels. I got to drive it on some dirt roads and it was a hoot - you could steer it with the gas pedal...oversteer / understeer.

They were sort of edgy wedgy Italian design at the time.

So just for fun, let's contrast the hedonistic opulent excess of this thing...... (full disclosure: my parents had a pink 1960 Dodge wagon)

That's a 1959 Chevy Impala, not a 1960. The cat eye taillights were only installed on the 59.

Neat little cars. That rally car looks pretty fun to scoot around in.
