I'm also 6'3", and 7/940s are tight, but manageable. I think a slicktop would be better, I've only had ones with sunroofs. The problem in those cars for me is how low the roof it. My head pretty much touches the headliner.
The problem for me in most other cars is the legroom. That's what kills me with Miatas, because I love driving them, I just can't comfortably fit in them.
