I've had a 2002 V70 2.4T since 2007, and personally love it. I did have to have the transmission rebuilt at 199k (presently at 284k), but other than that, nothing major. I do most of my repairs/maintenance myself (plugs, coils, brakes, suspension, vacuum lines, etc), partly thanks to my father teaching me how to turn a wrench, and partly to the P2 forum here.
I have Vida, (again, thanks to this forum) but have only needed it a few times.
That being said....my wife's 2005 Chrysler T&C Limited transmission ate it, and we're looking for a replacement vehicle. She likes being up high, so we're looking for something like an XC90 (or a Chrysler T&C, or an SUV).
I've heard there are some issues with transmission on the XC90 as well...
1. What different engine/transmission options are there?
2. What should I look for (or avoid)?
3. I'm looking for something probably no older than 2007/2008, preferably with no more than 120-140k miles.
Thanks!
Jonboy
