Sunday I replaced the rear window actuator and motor in an A4 Audi. Thanks to Utube it wasn't bad. The door car, electronics, door frame and window frame come off - the whole top of the door comes off! THEN it started to rain.
Take out the glass, drill out the rivets on the frame, rivet the new actuator onto the frame, re-align and install glass, motor reinstalled, put it all back in the car. Get the bolts in right where they were before so the upper door aligns and seals to the opening, plug it all back in, and it works! Wow, 5 years with no window in the back. EVERY single person who sits there says "The window button doesn't work." "Yes, it has no motor, the cable and pulleys have snapped."
Another big box out of the garage!

Met some old car friends (old car, not old, car) for coffee. So fun to see them. They brought a '64 1800 with the RED Jenson interior (but oddly not a Jensen-built body), a '59 356, a '60 356, and a '65 SWB 911 / 912 conversion.

Does that Ferrari badge look huge? Is that stock? It looks like a badge someone would apply if they had a kit car.
What kinda Ferrari is this anyway?

Does look excessive. Too much "Look at me."
It has no windshield. I don't know my new Ferraris at all.

I know the owner of this fine piece. It's a circa 1980 coupe, not the more common/less desirable 2+2. It's got its original V6.
I forgot to get a shot of its vanity plates "GODZILLA".

(You might laugh at the condition, or actual car, but these things value is going to go through the roof as my Gen X generation retires with money to spend.)

^ Kinda the same reason nice example 240 through P80 Volvos are going to command big bucks. We're already seeing it.

olive drab battle wagon!
I worked a summer as a lot boy for the big Datsun dealer way South Broadway / Littleton, if it’s still there. Maybe ‘77, ‘78(?), when the 280Z came out. We always had a bunch and I got to move them and drive them. We had some used 240Z’s as well - they were a hoot. 260’s were a mess with a crappy injection system. The 280’s were more sophisticated and ran well.

240Z is the car to get. Those are bonkers great.
And to be clear, THIS 280Z above will not be worth much without tons of work and money. But it's a still a great car. It has side pipes(!).
