Oh, you can call me Nick.

The S60 is my daily driver, and runs and drives fine. Just have a bunch of new parts to put on it when the olds ones go bad. I was planning on doing all of the preventative maintenance on it that I could, which is why I have a pile of new parts for it. The only 3 major issues is the broken windshield, although it doesn't leak and the crack is so low you can't really see it unless you're looking for it, the right front turn signal isn't working, even using new bulbs, and the AC compressor needs replaced (I can hear the pistons in the compressor moving back and forth making a nasty grinding sound when it's running, so I quit using it).

I posted if for sale to see if anyone would be interested in it, and was planning on getting something else with more rear leg room. If the car sells that's fine, and if it doesn't sell that's fine too. It's harder for me to bend and move the way I used to, but as I get stronger I'm hoping to get back to working on it again.

I noticed yesterday that my right leg didn't heal straight so I need to make an appt with my Ortho to see what, if anything, can be done to straighten it out like it should be.

Saw my Ortho on Friday, and got another referral for more physical therapy. Everything is still pretty tight, which is limiting my range of motion in both knees and right ankle. I've been working on my PT exercises at home, and ended up spraining my left knee yesterday so I'm laid up for a few days again. I tried to take a walk earlier today, and didn't make it very far before the pain made me turn around and head back home.

Been a while since I've posted an update.

I'm back in PT for my knees. Between a recent fall and help from PT I've gotten more range of motion. Last measurement was 102 degrees on the left knee and 90 degrees on the right knee. My orthos goal for me is 110 degrees, and I'm getting closer. My legs feel completely different now, and I feel like I'm walking normally again. I'm walking between 2 and 4 miles a day, too, and my leg muscles are coming back in nicely.

Big milestone in PT today. I've gotten my left knee to bend 106 degrees and the right knee to 93 degrees. It's the first time I've been able to peddle the exercise bike all the way around. Before today is was more of a turning one way as far as my right knee would let me and then back the other way until my right knee stopped wanting to bend. I was pleasantly surprised when it went all the way around, and I did 5 minutes on the bike. Pretty happy with the progress I've made so far, and I'm going to continue to make as much progress as I can. Today was a good day. Now I'm walking and hoping to do 4 miles again like I did the last time I felt this good right after PT.

I have joined the group of Volvo owning cancer caregivers. My sister has been working through the process of dealing with advanced cancer since diagnosis almost a year ago. I've been trying to help her as much as possible during that time. Her first surgery is upcoming very soon which is a major milestone for her treatment. There will be second and third smaller surgeries followed by recovery time spanning the next many months. Please say a prayer for us, keep us in your thoughts, or however you can provide good wishes for people in this community. Thank you.

I look forward to reading this thread and learning more about providing care to someone with cancer. Thanks in advance for sharing all of this helpful content.

Thanks. Surgery went well and my sister is recovering quickly. I'm back home after helping her for an extended time. Now to care for my sick Volvo.
