I think Lucas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_Industries (English car electrics) is not the same as Lucas oil products https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_Oil. Two different things. Unless you put fuses in your transmission oil filling tube.

This should give you an idea what a prick Edison was.

"Tesla arrived in New York in 1884 and was hired as an engineer at Thomas Edison’s Manhattan headquarters. He worked there for a year, impressing Edison with his diligence and ingenuity. At one point Edison told Tesla he would pay $50,000 for an improved design for his DC dynamos. After months of experimentation, Tesla presented a solution and asked for the money. Edison demurred, saying, “Tesla, you don’t understand our American humor.” Tesla quit soon after."

1964 Mercury Montclair Marauder. The pig is a BBQ grill. Lol I couldn't resist getting a few pics for this thread, and my uncle sent me the Mercury pic yesterday out of his collection of pictures. We were really close and he was a photographer for the Airforce. June

Lots of good American Iron on Long Island…on the streets, too!

(Okay, might be a beetle or two that flew in as well….)
