Very odd, three at once.

All are described as "running", which at this auction house means they drive them around the lot. Various stages of distress noted in the Auctioneers remarks.
Note the goofy 'surcharge', and as always, the fee structure depends on the hammer number.
On their DC auctions, the scrappers seem to be using $475 as the default bid. Dunno about Philly; folks are different up there.

Philly is cool because you get that neat under chassis scan to assess condition.

$475 for scrap is hard to compete with after your $400 in fees they don’t have to pay

The total fees at the moment for $475 would be $192. With scrap prices up - along with the cat thing - I guess that's the new auction house default.
According to my old friend Karl - who has been buying from them for four decades - the scrappers pay the fees too.

The hammer numbers with fees were:
'05 - $792
'06 - $2187
'08 - $892
Unless you're local to one of their places, this is best left as a spectator sport.

Thanks foggy. I’ve heard different from my scrapper friend, it might be a volume thing.

Of course, they show up with a trailer, pick up a couple of good parts opportunities , then fill the trailer with scrap cars

The non running 2000 s70 stick shift/275k In nautical blue would have cost me 2000 in Manchester. I’d rather be dirk and buy them for 500 and drive them home.

Should have said it this way:
'05 - $600 plus fees
'06 - $1825 " "
'08 - $700 " "
