Cyan P1800-ish hot rod

Post by foggydogg »

Two stories, one an editorial, the other is from Cyan actually letting a Hot Rod guy drive the car.

The factory guy laughed at the writer for shifting too soon.

This jumped out at me -

"Rather, it's mapped like a naturally aspirated engine, and delivers torque linearly, meaning the more you push the pedal, the more power you get, just like a '60s car. "If you don't give a race driver torque linearly, they hate you," Baath says."

That's something that really bugs me about modern hot rod turbo cars, the ....nothing...nothing.....BAM!! All at once, and then you almost miss the shift point. It's really jerky and not smooth.
