MY hood release broken on my 2002 c70 convertible. I know thier are levers on the internal side of each lock mechinism. I just cannot get to them. I am sure thier is an access point. some how. Any help would be appreciated.

The last time I heard this happening the hood was finally opened from under the car with a long stick. Good luck, wish I could help you more.

I have the same problem with a 98 V70 AWD (with turbo). The driver's side latch has been sticking, and I tried adjustments to the cable under the dash and to the height of the latch under the drivers side. Neither corrected the sticking, and today in trying to open the hood, I broke the cable off inside the hood compartment. I am familiar with how the latch works, so I tried to reach up from under the car to release it but the air pump and turbo hoses seem to block the way. If someone has successfully done this with a V70 or equivalent with turbo and air pump, I would like to know how it was done. Thanks. First time on this board but it appears to be very useful.
