airbag light stays on, 2000 V40

We have a 2000 V40 and just had the timing belt and water pump replaced along with the idle air something or other......after we got the car home from the shop the airbag light came on and stays on. Would there be any connection between this and the work done? Is this something serious? Can we get it reset or checked somehow?
