headlight switch?

Post by philippet »

Hi everyone, is it possible to switch from the xenon headlight to halogen, or do I absolutely have to stick to the Xenon? I have a 2005 xc70 that originally came with the xenon headlights.
Previous owner replaced the original headlight assembly with a halogen, and I am only getting high beam functioning. It looks like a lot of the other volvo parts have different connectors. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Looks the wiring is the the same for both. Check it by counting the number of wires going to the headlight. There should be a total of six wires on each headlight.

Looks like you just need to get a pair of Bi-Xenon headlights with a GDL module and drop them in. Maybe change a flag in VIDA.
