I read 289 in the description and assumed it had to be a Ford 289.
The valve covers say Dodge Red Ram. Red Ram was used for Dodge Hemi engines.
I see foggydogg figured out what it is ..
foggydogg wrote: 24 Nov 2022, 15:03 That's because it's a Hemi. '53-57, 241 ci Dodge.
Could the 289ci be because it been bored and/or stroked?

It would need to get both to open it up 48 cubic inches; pretty big swing to take on such an old engine. The Dodges weren't very popular, so I can't imagine stock parts were plentiful, much less speed parts. Getting a crank cast to stroke it would take a major cash outlay, and there probably isn't enough meat in the block to cut giant holes for super-size pistons. Even if this poor thing had been built in Antiquity, it wouldn't make much sense to expend so much effort on such a lump of cold iron. The Chrysler 331 would've been a better choice in the Hemi family. You could actually get parts for them.

Cheap as it will cost you $XXXX's to buy replacement keys and have them programmed, let alone the cost to move to a dealer to get that done. Also it is an 01............!

Optimistic owners trying to sell their cars in my area. Most have been advertised for a long time:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... _type=post

P3 XC70 T6. 09 and 125k miles.

P2 XC70 with about 80,000 miles:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... _type=post

Would you pay that for an 03 XC90 T6? Would you even buy a T6?

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/cal ... 1642319774

Now this one has been up on Facebook for about 6 months already and started at $3000. Read the list of issues and would you pay $100 let for this car?

I nearly had an 'accident' when I read this one:

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/for ... 0/m5329482

Strangely, all these cars have been on either or both our local websites for 6 months or more with the exception of the 960/S90

I seriously wish the sellers the best of luck!

Neil.
