Hello again,
Thanks for the replies i'll keep all this in mind for the future.
I did make a silly mistake though. I measured the oil LEVEL with the dipstick while the engine was still warm just shut down a couple minutes. That means the oil level looked lower than it really was. It was actually just 1/2 quart down but it's been like that for over a year now so it cant be triggering any stall symptom, unless maybe some sensor was bad i guess. If there is no sensor that can do that though then that cant be a problem.
Can the ECU detect low oil 1998 v70 ?

Re: Can the ECU detect low oil 1998 v70 ?
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.
1998 v70, non turbo, FWD, base model, on the road from April 2nd, 2015 to July 26, 2023.

Thank you for your answer.BEJinFbk wrote: ↑10 Nov 2022, 11:50 Being a quart low is not gonna cause a stall.
If it did, you’d have much bigger problems.
Any Check Engine Light? OBD ll codes?
Regarding whether or not the sensor and
warning light are tied into the ECU, have
you downloaded the manual of schematics?
It should be clearly indicated therehappy wheels
