I need to ship the torque converter from an AW50-42, is there a trick to empty all the oil ?
Would be nice if I can keep it from spilling oil during transport, it seems that every time it gets flipped some oil comes out
Simple answer, no, some will remain in the torque converter. I wouldn't suggest a power flush... You're usually far better off doing partial drain and fills...FireFox31 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 14:08 Tangential question: Can the torque converter be drained with the transmission installed during a fluid flush? I'm working with a 2000 AW55-50. My fluid is ruined so I'd like to remove as much as possible before refilling and starting the power flush. I'm especially concerned about the torque converter since it's acting up.
