There is a flow advantage with the Japanifold compared to the 2.5T manifold. Faster turbo spool too, I believe. Also the sound, but of course that depends on who's listening.MoVolvos wrote: ↑17 Dec 2022, 13:18 .
If I have to change the Turbo on the Project 2007 S60 2.5T then:
1) Will this work?
2) How much more work?
3) Are exhaust manifold bolts easy to break?
4) Is it worth the effort and cost?
5) What are the gains and benefits? Sound and psychological only?

It's not much more work with the turbo out, that's the best time to do it. The bolts usually don't put up a fight for me, they usually come out pretty smoothly. Sometimes they pull a stud with them, but I usually break the stud loose from the nut and run the stud back in to make sure I get the proper torque on the nuts.
