2001 s80 auto - stalling

my car is a 2.4 auto and has done 132k miles. my problem is the car stalls randomly when I turn slow corners but not every time. the revs die then it stalls. twice recently the car has gone into 'limp home ' mode but if I swith off and wait ten mins the car goes back to perfect. I have recently change the lambda sensor but it has not made any difference. The emmissions warning has been on 3 times over the past four months but only stays on for a couple of days then goes off. The car runs brilliantly well other than this but I am taking the car from the UK to the Alps in July and don't want to be stuck over there.

Sounds like a grounding strap (for battery) or one of the battery terminals itself. Anyway, I think it's electrical. It could even be your ignition switch that has a small short.

have been searching the forum and a bit worried it may be the ETM!!

It could be...but they are warranted to 10 years or 200K miles.
There is also a free software upgrade to help your ETM.
I would say a trip to the dealer might be in order.
