Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.
Way too far away for me too. Shame someone started something they could finish. It also assumes that the person is knowledgeable enough to know that they probably have had a TB failure and the head is damaged and that is why the timing marks are off.

I'd love to be able to save this car.
I regret selling the last S70 AWD for 2 reasons. First, I sold it a year ago for 5k on the first day I had it listed so I don't think I was asking enough for a bit of Volvo history.
Secondly these cars are pretty rare and cool being that they were some of Volvo's first AWD sedans.
Buyer didn't even haggle. Just handed me the cash, thanked me and it was gone.
These older AWD's are a bit of a problem when it comes to sourcing parts, another reason I sent it down the road.
I'm just raising a flag if anyone can get to those one rare parts it before the scrap yard.
cheers
Yeah it's about 2500kms for me so that is why I'm out and is why I'm sending the smoke signals to any who may be qualified to work on this this piece of Volvo history.
I don't know how abundant the older Volvo are in your area but they've become darn scarce around here and what you do find is top dollar for worn out AS IS specials. AWD s70 would be like a mythical unicorn.
cheers
