So I guess my real concern is if the concoction of coolant I’m running is a big issue? OEM is obviously best, but of course, my local Volvo dealer is closed on Saturdays. And happenstance forced me to use the coolants I did because I didn’t have a car to get anything else.

Part Peak, part BG, part Green Fram, and maybe a drop or two of OEM from days long gone…

But hey, the gauge does work again!

Shouldn't be a problem but here is what it all boils down to  .

You can run water only around town for a day to get the right stuff unless you can’t protect it from freezing temperatures

There is something that looks like it might be a drain on the back side of the engine near where the water pump bolts on. It looks like a supersized brake bleeder.

Give the drain 30mseconds of propane heat before you try to move it

As the guys say, there is a bleed screw/drain on the back of the block near/above the mount for the RH axle support bearing. Heed abscates advice before trying to loosen it and plenty of penetrating oil. This may help from Pelican parts:

If you look carefully at picture 5 you can just see the drain.

Have used their tech articles for the C30 but didn't think to check for the S70. The 98-07 V70 is pretty close if not the same for many major parts.
