I use a CTEK trickle charger once a week for a few hours to keep the battery topped up. I don't leave it plugged in all the time as I did this with a brand new battery for 2 years and It killed the battery

I have a pair of little Noco Genius1's that I like. They are trickle charger/maintainers. They are supposed to de-sulfate the battery too. I need to put one of them on my 850.

On my late father's 850 wagon ....he used to disconnect the earth on the battery between uses (its only done 2000 miles between the mots for the last few years )

It had been parked since 2019 and the battery still had enough charge to light the dash up ...
Needed a lithium jump pack to start ...

BUT for more frequent use I'd fit one the battery isolators .
