Hello there,
Yesterday i started up the car and measured the charging voltage and it looks pretty bad.
It was always about 14.0 volts but now it looks like it is as low as 13.85 volts.
Cant figure out why it would have gone down all of a sudden, nothing was changed with that system.
When i go to start the car, i hear this buzzing sound almost sounds like it is coming from the radio area of the dash board.
When i hear that sound it usually means the battery is low.
Any ideas?
Battery not charging enough?

I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

Anything above 13.5v at idle I would consider not concerning. That buzzing could be a poor electrical connection, causing higher draw on that circuit and lower voltage at the battery. More likely that buzzing is a blend-door motor having a bad time. Does your car have electric climate control? When you mess with the dials, does the sound change?

Oh i'll have to try that. But im pretty sure it only happens when the battery is low. I'll check it again.WhatAmIDoing wrote: ↑28 Jan 2023, 20:30 Anything above 13.5v at idle I would consider not concerning.
