Spark Plugs

Post by volvostud »

I have a package of plugs left over from my S60 that I never installed. These are Volvo 31312691 plugs (5 of them) they are marked a FK20HQR10 plug. Can I get a 6th one and run them in my 2010 xc70T6? dimensions all look correct as does resistance. Not sure on gap.

Yes you can use those

FK20HQR10 is a Twin Tip Denso Iridium Plug

It is very similar to the 4704 IKH20TT

The difference is that the VOLVO Plug is a Super Ignition Plug and it has a slightly larger diameter for the Iridium Tip 0.55 mm vs 0.40 mm

I would happily use these in my 3.2

Here is a JPEG that I created for myself to understand the differences

3421 is what came stock in my LR2 (IRIDIUM LONG LIFE Single tip 0.7 mm)

5344 this is what I upgraded to and used for the last 50,000 miles (IRIDIUM POWER Single Tip 0.4mm)

3459 This is the Super Ignition (Volvo Switched to this) This is a Twin Tip Iridium Plug [Twin Tip 0.55mm]

4704 This is the Iridium Twin Tip from Denso [Twin Tip 0.4mm]

I would use any of these and since you have 3459 x 5 I would just buy one more 3459 or get one 4704 and put them in

Good luck

Paul
