Hey so I just ordered the exact fuel pump Fcp euro said would fit my car and they had my car listed on the page and everything but today when I went to install it I noticed there was only one pump inside the housing and a smaller 2x4 pin plug on the top. It should have 2 pumps inside the housing and a much bigger plug on top. My issue is that the old pump broke when I took it out so now my car is useless and have no way to get to work if I get called in... THANKS FCP EURO should of just stuck with the Chinese one I ordered, at least it worked and fit.
I'm guessing that even if I changed the tops of the units, it still wouldn't work since there's less pins in the plug and only one pump?

Sorry to hear about this trouble. I think you should call FCP and discuss the issue with them. Hopefully they will be willing to eat the cost of 1 day shipping and return label for the old one back. I would first double check if you ordered correct variant of the pump since based on vin 2 options are possible. I would not try to risk $200 and try to swap the fuel pumps. I am not sure the pump from this fuel unit might be of correct output psi for your car. So I would try to get a correct part.

One thing is that I'm in Canada so I had to pay import fees and if they take it back they'll also have to pay them.
Also I did set it down into fuel so do you think they'll take it back still?

Likely they will not be happy about it. But still I would talk to them and see if they can see whose fault it was and if they would be willing to own their mistake if it is on them. If no luck to return it- I would possibly try to sell it on ebay, craigslist or Facebook marketplace at least would get some money out of it. If that is not an option I would try to check the numbers on the new actual pump and ask volvo dealer if it is a substitute for your old one. Or try to find detailed technical info on the pump(meaning it's psi and fuel rate delivery) to see if by installing it you will not create more issues(too much pressure vs too little pressure, not enough fuel delivery capacity under acceleration etc)

You will find that they will take a wrong fitment chart part back without fuss. Import fees are a hassle but not caused by fcp or our governments but by shippers.
